Your goal

We are looking for an experienced Software Development Engineer to join our team in Kiev. Our Senior Software Engineer plays a key role for the Engineering Team by providing expert code-level knowledge, troubleshooting and debugging support to our frontline engineers and implementing permanent software fixes and patches as required. Your job will be to work with multiple software engineers and other team members to design and develop new software that provides exciting and compelling experiences. You'll measure your success by the quality of your execution, the pace of innovation you help drive, and the increased satisfaction you deliver.

OUR PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline;
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience with distributed systems and Cloud technologies;
  • Experience with OOD and object oriented languages;
  • Experience working on a large scale deployments and performance tuning;
  • Ability to work in a dynamic fast moving and fast changing environment;
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skill, including verbal, written, listening and customer relationships;
  • Excellent judgment, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Acting as a technical leader and continuously improving the team’s engineering systems;
  • Designing and implementing multi-layer service architecture solutions;
  • Driving conversations that help progress forward a vision and work across diverse set of stakeholders to prioritize, define requirements, and measure outcomes;
  • Reviewing and making constructive improvements to feature specs;
  • Maintaining and enhancing the quality of existing code/scenarios already in production;
  • Dynamically shifting focus from front-end user experience to backend systems and architecture;
  • Debugging the root cause of assigned software defects and implement permanent, reliable and timely fixes in production code;
  • Improving the company’s abilities to support the product by developing new support tools and enhancements to support processes and the product itself;
  • Working closely with other engineering teams to provide feedback on customer experience and suggest product improvements;
  • Providing input to QA to create and enhance system and performance test plans based on the types of issues raised in the field.
