FOUNDATION

2000–2001

First Steps

Computools Brand was founded on March 24, 2000, by Canadian network engineer and veteran Roger Marion (former Bell Canada, Pratt & Whitney, Genicom, RRSSS Québec (Health Ministry) network engineer).

 

Computools Brand started as a network consulting firm working as a Technical Sales Advisor in the Network Division at Northwest Digital. Early 2001, the company represented as acting CEO for North American operations for a French company (Perform S.A. – Aix-en-Provence) based in Washington, DC, which was acquired a few months later by BMC Software. The company then worked for BMC Software as Geo/Manager in the Networking Division with offices in Montréal, Chicago, Washington and Houston.

2002–2006

Period of Opportunities and Challenges

In 2002, the brand had the most amazing and challenging opportunity to develop international channel partnerships for a network management company based in Raleigh, NC (Oculan Corp) where the team had great success in working with management team Steve Giles (CEO), Luke Rindfuss (CSO) and Darrek Porter (Marketing). It gave Computools the opportunity to establish important business partners almost everywhere on the planet.

 

The same year, Computools Brand joined efforts with Italian software company Look@LAN (founded by Carlo Medas) to develop quality networking products (such as Look@LAN Pro and Look@NetStat). In 2002, Computools Brand, under Roger Marion, founded the Lavalys Consulting Group company. Lavalys, with its EVEREST line of products, became successful overnight. Lavalys had over 250 business partners and millions of EVEREST customers all around the globe with at its peak, offices in Canada, USA, Trinidad Tobago, UK, France, Hungary, Ukraine, and Singapore.

2006–2012

Period of Sustainable Development

In 2006 Computools Brand fully entered the network management (SNMP QuickStat), high encryption (SSH Server, EDS, PRTC) and security software (Sentinel, Kali, Hathor) development business with a partnership with SSS Ukraine.

 

Lavalys company stopped operating in 2012.

2013 -2014

Period of Computools Company formation

Computools was founded in 2013 by Sergii Tymchuk and, in a short time, became a reliable provider of innovative software solutions for IT companies in the USA, Israel, Great Britain, Norway, and other regions. The active and stable development of the company, combined with a competent personnel policy, made it possible to assemble and unite a coordinated team of experts.

 

From the very beginning, the company’s founder took control of the software development department in order to create at Computools a high level of quality IT solutions for customers.

2015-2017

Era of Transformation

In 2015, Computools opened offices in the USA (New York) and the UK (London) to be closer to clients and moved HQ to New York. By the end of 2015, the company employed 34 IT specialists.

 

In 2016, Computools made significant growth in its team and branches. This year was crucial for expanding the range of services, working with like-minded startups, and developing projects based on the Internet of Things. The company started working with industries like Healthcare, Finance, and Media, expanding its expertise in these areas. Its staff increased to 49 and Computools opened another office in Kyiv (Ukraine).

 

The next year, 2017, was a year of breakthrough growth and development of Computools: the number of employees increased to 99, representative offices were also opened in London (Great Britain) and Tel Aviv (Israel).

2017-2018

Era of Active Growth and Innovations

In 2017, the company successfully completed major projects, like a proactive cartridge refilling solution for Epson, digital transformation of a major Caribbean Bank bank together with IBM, created a virtual fitting app for Dior and transformed flight documentation management for Bombardier. The number of Computools’ projects increased tenfold compared to the previous year.

 

We opened in Tel Aviv (Israel), Lodz (Poland) and Dnipro (Ukraine).

 

In 2018, in an effort to provide the best service for customers, Computools constantly developed and raised specialists within the company: employees underwent the necessary training, and the staff was supplemented by new experts (competent employees). Large global brands appeared in the Computools customer list, and the range of services has expanded significantly.

 

In 2018, Computools accomplished key milestones in business, completing complex projects like Keller Covered, delivering interactive and intuitive insurance purchasing tools for real estate. The team added large global brands to the customer list. Computools opened offices in Norway (Oslo) and Sweden (Stockholm). It again increased the number of active projects, leading to an expanded team. This year, Computools already had 167 IT specialists. 

2019-2021

Era of Internal Transformation and Progressive Development Solutions

2019 was a year of expansion and recognition for Computools. It achieved high rankings in various lists, including Top Software Developers, Web Development Companies, Mobile App Development Companies, and more. The company acquired CMS Games LLC, and by the end of the year, the number of employees increased by 24%.

 

By 2020, Computools opened office in Warsaw (Poland). In 2020, the company was recognised as one of the top companies in the global outsourcing industry in “The 2020 Global Outsourcing 100” by IAOP. This award marked its contribution to technological innovation at WorldTicket, Homesearch, Metrycom, British Council and BuzzFeed among others.

 

Computools is a member of international associations: the IT Ukraine Association, Enterprise Europe Network, Canada-Ukraine Trade and Investment Support project – CUTIS, Norwegian-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce (NUCC), Australia-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce (AUCC).

 

The same year,  Computools faced a significant challenge due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In March and April 2020, the company lost approximately 60% of its turnover. However, even in these difficult times, Computools supported its employees. Within 3-4 months, the company managed to recover part of the lost turnover, and returned to pre-crisis levels by February 2021.

 

 In 2021, the company was certified according to the international quality management standard ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001.

2022-...

COMPETENCY EXPANSION

In 2022, Computools relocated its employees to the Warsaw office and established new branches in Poland, including Wroclaw. Our company’s workforce reached 240 professionals.

 

Additionally, Computools made it to the 2022 Global Outsourcing 100 list, compiled by IAOP, underscoring the high standards and ability to provide reliable solutions to the clients. In 2023, the company was again honored with this award, confirming its position as a leading outsourcing provider.

 

In 2024, Computools was recognised as one of the top companies in the global outsourcing industry in “The 2024 Global Outsourcing 100” by IAOP.

 

The same year, TechReviewer recognised us as one of the Top Artificial Intelligence Companies, and the analytical portal Goodfirms awarded us the Official Research Partner.
