Built to Make Innovation Useful

Computools began with a simple belief: technology should help businesses grow, improve, and achieve more by removing the barriers between an idea and its execution. Since 2013, that belief has guided our transformation from an engineering-focused company into a global software development and IT consulting partner serving organizations across industries and markets

Understanding Complexity. Creating Practical Value

From an early age, Computools Co-Founder and CEO Sergii Tymchuk was fascinated by science, technology, innovation, and the way complex systems work.

Over time, that curiosity developed into a broader realization: technology matters not because of its complexity, but because of the value it can create for people and businesses.

This insight became the foundation of Computools.

The company was created to help businesses use innovation as a practical instrument for growth, efficiency, transformation, and long-term competitiveness. Instead of overwhelming clients with technical implementation details, Computools would take responsibility for complexity and communicate solutions in clear business language.

What inspired me was never technology alone. It was the possibility of using technology to solve difficult problems, improve people’s lives, and help businesses achieve results they could not achieve before.

Brand COMPUTOOLS before 2013

2000–2013

The First Chapter of Computools

The Computools brand was founded in 2000 by Canadian businessman and engineer Roger Marion. During its early years, the brand developed through technology consulting and infrastructure management solutions, initially serving clients and partners across North America.

Between 2002 and 2006, Computools broadened its international reach through cooperation with Oculan Corp and worked with Look@LAN on software for system monitoring, diagnostics, and administration.

From 2006 to 2012, the brand expanded its technical focus into SNMP-based management tools, encryption technologies, secure communications, and security software.

Since 2013, the Computools brand has belonged to Sergii Tymchuk.

Computools is grateful to Roger Marion for his friendship, encouragement, and generosity in entrusting the Computools name and domain to a new chapter. The company itself was independently founded by Sergii Tymchuk, Grigoriy Shadara, Oleg Svet, and Viktoriia Stepanova in 2013; Roger’s early contribution remains a valued part of the name’s history.

COMPUTOOLS COMPANY JOURNEY

2013–2015

Building the Foundation

Computools was founded in 2013 by Sergii Tymchuk, Grigoriy Shadara, Oleg Svet, and Viktoriia Stepanova with an initial focus on engineering excellence, responsibility, and high-quality software delivery.

From the beginning, the ambition was greater than building individual applications. The goal was to create a disciplined engineering organization capable of understanding complex challenges, structuring execution, and building long-term relationships with clients.

During its first years, Computools formed its core engineering team and began serving international clients across the United States, the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Austria, Israel, Poland, Ukraine, OAE and Saudi Arabia.

The foundations established during this period — technical quality, ownership, structured delivery, and clear communication — remain central to the company today.

2016–2018

SCALING INTO A GLOBAL TECHNOLOGY PARTNER

Computools expanded its international presence by opening new offices and representative locations, bringing the company closer to clients in key markets. At the same time, it developed deeper expertise in Retail, Logistics, Healthcare, Travel & Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Education.

From this point onward, Computools began delivering solutions for eCommerce and retail operations, logistics coordination, healthcare services, reservation and hospitality management, manufacturing processes, and digital learning. Working across these sectors gave the company practical knowledge of their workflows, operational constraints, and technology requirements.

This period also marked a shift toward larger, more integrated products that connected customer-facing applications, internal operations, data, and third-party systems.

By 2018, the company had built the industry expertise, technical capabilities, operational maturity, and delivery structure needed to support larger and more complex solutions for global organizations.

2019–2021

BUILDING OPERATIONAL RESILIENCE AND MATURITY

The next stage of Computools’ development focused on strengthening the organization from within.

The company invested in delivery processes, quality management, employee development, knowledge sharing, project governance, and global delivery capabilities.

When the COVID-19 pandemic disrupted markets and client operations in 2020, Computools adapted its business and delivery model while continuing to support its employees and clients. The experience underscored the importance of operational resilience, financial discipline, transparent communication, and the ability to respond quickly to unforeseen change.

By February 2021, the company had returned to its pre-crisis turnover levels.

In 2021, Computools obtained ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001 certifications, validating the quality-management and information-security management systems that had become integral to its operating model.

This period helped transform Computools from a rapidly growing software company into a more mature, resilient, and globally scalable organization.

2022–2024

EVOLVING INTO A STRATEGIC TECHNOLOGY & CONSULTING PARTNER

Following Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, Computools made the safety of its Ukraine-based team a priority. The company supported the relocation of team members seeking safer conditions, primarily to Poland, while others moved to offices elsewhere in its international network. This helped protect people, maintain team continuity, and ensure stable delivery for clients.

At the same time, Computools evolved beyond its role as a software delivery provider. The company increasingly acted as a technology and consulting partner, helping clients define business challenges, shape digital-transformation roadmaps, and align technology investments with operational and commercial priorities.

Rather than engaging only at the implementation stage, Computools supported clients from discovery and solution design through delivery, modernization, automation, data and AI initiatives, and the long-term evolution of their digital products and operations.

Recognition in the Global Outsourcing 100 list in 2022, 2023, and 2024 reflected the company’s growing maturity, international reach, and ability to support complex, long-term transformation programs.

This period established Computools as a more resilient organization and a trusted partner for business and technology transformation.

2025 and Beyond

FROM INDUSTRY EXPERTISE TO AI-ENABLED TRANSFORMATION

Today, Computools is evolving into an AI engineering and agentic systems company. It builds on the engineering discipline, delivery maturity, and industry knowledge developed throughout the company’s journey to help clients move from a business challenge to a reliable, scalable AI-enabled solution.

The industry expertise established from 2016 onward — in Retail, Logistics, Financial Services, Healthcare, Travel & Hospitality, Manufacturing, and Education — gives Computools a practical understanding of real workflows, operating constraints, data, and customer expectations. This enables the company to apply AI where it creates tangible value, rather than treating it as a generic technology layer.

Computools is also transforming its own delivery model through AI-assisted workflows, task classification, modular architecture, reusable knowledge, rapid validation, and strong engineering ownership. For certain engineering tasks and project stages, this approach can accelerate delivery by up to 18× compared with four years ago.

For clients, this translates into AI-enabled business transformation, AI-ready legacy modernization, and agentic enterprise systems that securely connect AI agents with business data, workflows, and third-party systems. Each production-ready solution remains subject to expert review, architectural validation, security controls, quality assurance, and clear human accountability.

The next chapter is not simply about delivering software faster. It is about combining deep industry expertise with AI engineering to help clients make better decisions, modernize with confidence, and create scalable new sources of growth.

One commitment at every stage

Computools has evolved from an engineering-focused company into a global technology and consulting partner—expanding its delivery capabilities, deepening industry expertise, and now applying AI engineering to business transformation.

Yet one commitment has remained consistent:

01.

Understand the real business context

02.

Make complex technology clear and useful

03.

Own delivery end to end

04.

Design for measurable business outcomes

05.

Create long-term value for clients and their customers

These principles shaped the company’s early engineering work, guided its expansion across industries, and now inform how it applies AI—helping clients modernize with confidence and turn innovation into lasting value.

THE NEXT CHAPTER IS BUILT TOGETHER

AI is reshaping customer experiences, decision-making, and core operations. The opportunity is not to adopt AI for its own sake, but to make established systems, data, and workflows more intelligent, connected, and effective.

Computools helps organizations turn this opportunity into AI-enabled business transformation — modernizing legacy platforms, building secure agentic enterprise systems, and delivering solutions grounded in deep industry expertise and measurable outcomes.
