Computools supported one of the International Collegiate Programming Contest’s (ICPC’s) regional chapters. The ICPC is a prestigious student programming contest, which was held at the Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University. The International Student Programming Championship is one of the oldest and largest programming competitions for students. It grows and becomes more complex following IT trends. It consists of several qualifying regional chapters and the final, during which a winner is determined.
Computools congratulated the winning teams of the local round and presented valuable prizes to the participants. Although gifts are a supplemental reward for students, the main benefit is still hidden in the results; victory is the best reward for a team.
Computools strives to support the development of IT in Ukraine’s Southern region and offering participants extra motivation to take part in such a large-scale event is one of the ways to actively popularize the field. The ICPC is like an exam. It’s great for testing different knowledge and qualities like innovation, creativity, the ability to work in a team and under pressure. By looking for solutions to real-world challenges, students gain the necessary hands-on experience needed to transform their thinking. In addition to extensive knowledge and deep expertise in programming, these qualities come in handy when working at a progressive software development company.
Computools believes that comprehensive training – including team competitions – has a huge impact and benefits the growth of talent. By supporting such events and offering internships on real projects, Computools strives to contribute to the formation of future programmers.
