Recently, Computools participated in an international business event – Ukrainian Trade Mission to the Kingdom of Norway. The event was organized by the Export Promotion Office of Ukraine, IT Ukraine Association, with the support of NUCC.
Trade mission goals included developing export competencies of Ukrainian business; ensuring partnership and cooperation between Ukrainian and foreign businesses; developing a full-scale export promotion institution as a single-window entry point; promoting Ukrainian products and services abroad. Computools seeks to expand the geography of its partners and the provision of services. The company already has reliable partners all over the world and the Norwegian IT services market is included in the Computools business development strategy.
Such events are an excellent opportunity to enter and secure a foothold in the Norwegian market, as companies get the support of reliable associations. In the framework of the meetings, the participants shared business experience, useful tips and new knowledge. Trading partners became another important achievement of meetings. Computools was able to tell in detail about the provided services and demonstrate its competencies to potential partners.
Computools offer strongly needed tech competence. In particular, Norway needs the following competencies: App & Web Development, Cloud Solutions, Big Data Analytics, AI & Machine Learning, IoT, IT-security. Such a partnership is beneficial for both sides. The geographical proximity and a slight time difference make the cooperation of Ukrainian IT companies and Norwegian partners comfortable. More importantly, both countries are open to international business cooperation, and cultural differences are quite small.
The business culture in Norway is based on Norwegian (Scandinavian) work values. One of the main values is the focus on equality. That is why they usually adhere to the principles of little hierarchy, flat structures and informal communication.
A trade mission organized in the format of experience exchange and meetings with potential partners helped to integrate on the Norwegian business environment and fully fit into the cultural framework of the country. The first impression is very important at the beginning of cooperation, and a properly created atmosphere leads to a friendly and relaxed conversation. This makes building business relations more successful.
Moreover, such events help meet the challenges and overcome barriers to cooperation. Such as barriers to outsourcing, including security concerns and cultural differences, lack of knowledge about Ukraine and Ukraine’s business climate.
Computools adequately represented the IT industry at the event, demonstrated the capabilities of Ukrainian developers and shared their experience of international cooperation. The company also took part in the discussions and was able to answer a number of questions regarding the business culture and climate in the country.
This was a great opportunity for direct communication with Norwegian business partners.
Computools was selected through an RFP process. They were shortlisted and selected from between 5 other suppliers. Computools has worked thoroughly and timely to solve all security issues and launch as agreed. Their expertise is impressive.
